I'll give this a try (re-published)

I love to blog. I don't know why, there's just something fulfilling about writing about myself. Is that a bad thing?

My friends know I like to talk... a lot! And wriing has come naturally to me over the past few years thanks to my wonderful years of instruction in the BASD. And now, being at Penn State has definitely made it better.

So, I'll quickly write a few things about myself. My name is Tibby, I'm a sophomore at Penn State University majoring currently in Journalism, but I am planning to switch to Public Relations. I think it's best for me, considering I wasn't thrilled with the aspects of journalism at the Daily Collegian...

I usually reside in the little town of Bethlehem, PA, known as Christmas City USA. So yeah, Christmas in Bethlehem is a big deal. Brittany, my roomie, compared it to Independence Day in Philly. It's a lot bigger than I see it being. Sure, you have the pretty lights and trees and holiday spirit, but it's just something that happens. And believe me, we have a bigger turnout during Musikfest than during Christmas. At least in my opinion...

I like Bethlehem. It's a great city. See, you've got the small town aspect of living in Bethlehem, but in actuality, Bethlehem is one of the biggest cities in PA! I live in the suburbs of Bethlehem, which I love! Although citylife seems a lot more interesting than the humble burbs. But, I love my home. My family and I unfortunately had a house fire back in '07 and couldn't live there for 6 months! It sucked, but now our home is our dream home, and we still have each other. We lost our precious puppy Kahlua earlier this year to cancer which was tough and still is though.

My brothers are in high school. Tyler is a SENIOR at Liberty High, Thomas is a SOPHOMORE like me, except in high school. I can't believe my brother is a senior though! It's crazy! It's funny, he already has this huge graduation trip planned out. He told me he wants 2 weeks down in Disney, and we could go to Universal for a few days. And we're staying in the Contempoary in Disney. Of course, 2 weeks in a hotel? I'm like: NO! Although I enjoyed my stays at the Contempoary and love my family, 2 weeks in a hotel room is not going to do!

But, that's a long way away. And the problem with that trip is that it depends a little bit on what I will be doing. Like, will I be in London? Or will I be at some internship? Or a deadbeat job? If I had it my way, I would be interning at some firm in Los Angeles, but I doubt my parents would be thrilled with me out in California by myself. I do have family out there, albeit I've never met them, but they are there. And we are facebook friends, so that's a start!

I, of course, have to get through my sophomore year first. I'm not even done with my first week of classes and I'm overwhelmed. I said before lots of studying, I mean it. Statistics, History, Social Psych, Newswriting, and Meteorology. Seem not too bad, but trust me, these classes will kill me. Homecoming week will kill me too, and it shouldn't!

And then, there's the football season coming up, which I am stoked about! I love football, and Penn State is all about football! The first game isn't until NEXT weekend, so this weekend will probably be very chill. I have no idea what I'll be doing, but hopefully something good. Especially now that I found a store downtown that sells designer things. I love Juicy, Coach, katespade, all that stuff, so having them in a store is bad news bears!

Well, I think that was a lot of writing for one night. Nothing essentially important. Will close with sadness to the passing of the great Sen. Ted Kennedy. I hope he rests in peace humbly.
